I am thinking of buying a 2ltr 140 tdi , but do they have the same turbo problems as the the Octavia 140s

Anyone got a high miller one and what other problems to look out for

The PD 140 engine may show similar problems, the CR 140 engine i believe has never had an issue.

If it's the PD 2ltr, steer well clear. Oil pump failure and resultant new engine requirement is not uncommon. Plenty of info on this. Search for Oil Pump Failure

CR 140 with 40k miles - only 'problems' so far: needed a little bit of oil and a little bit of colant.

Completely irrelevant for the MK2 Superb, the PD140 engine used in the MK2 superb bares no resemblance at all to the engine used in the MK1that suffered from the oil pump drive failure. This has been discussed many times in this forum, and a quick search of the Superb MK2 brings up this question regularly with the same answer every time.

I owned my MK2 PD140 for 2 years and 44K miles and had no issues with anything at all.

Apologies, my understanding was that it was all 2.0 PD engines until the CR engine became the standard. What year did the Mk2 come out?

My 2.0 PD Octavia now has 456,000kms on it......................very unreliable indeed !!!

and its remapped from new.
