be interested to hear people views on this.

Unfortunately i dont have bags of money as i am a home carer/unemployed/house bitch for my family effectively, so shoe string budget.

It happens to be a local shop to me too, so if a few people are interested then might be able to get discount.

fitting it sunday, will let u know in due course :peek: I have quite big hands, so this could be fun if tight

Well at that price its got to be worth taking a punt i'd say. I can't see that it would or could have any adverse effects? But please correct me if I'm wrong.

Metal bar is a metal bar? Granted you get thicker ones or better designs. But for boxing off the front end I would imagine it will be fine.

i have had 1 on my a3 and my bora. deffo tightens the front up.

Having looked at people's photo's of their strut braces fitted, i have been trying to decide best way to fit it. I was wondering what way everyone else used?

just a straight bolt into hole drilled through, or a nut and bolt?

views on what is best way would be appreciated.

theres only one way to fit it, neither of the pics above are a ocy.

the s3 lower is a genuine part that you get from audi along with the captive nuts and bolts.

Sorry, should have made myself clearer, the top strut brace not the lower one.

sit strut brace in place. Draw where the holes are, remove brace, Drill holes. jack it up, Grab ya nuts and bolts (i used nylone nuts so they did not come un done, insert into drilled holes, do up, adjust brace so its stiff but not so stiff it bowing in the middle. Go for a drive, grin as you go round a corner. Job done!

Cool, cheers, on my 205 we just drilled and put bolts into holes. small motor can get away with it. Doing this at the weekend,so will put pics up when done. Looks shiny

2 things wind me up with that Strut brace.. 1 its not adjustable. If your a track whore for that money i would like to be able to stiffen up the front more if i wanted it. second thing.. the sticker aint in the middle! lol

Ooo i didnt notice that, how annoying :(

So the jom shiny one is better is it?

I like that the other says it comes with fixings ..... Although im scared to drill holes myself

its all personal choice i think mate. the jom is light weight Ali, adjustable. and you need to ad nuts and bolts. The OMP is steel, some would say its better coz of that. Dont forget it comes with nuts and bolts lol (sarcasum)

Joms £30.. the other £80 odd.. both do the same thing for road use. :)

Hmmm red or shiny

Shiny is good .... Car is red lol

Shame someone to fit its not in the box

What happens if you just fully tighten or loosen that jom one bud ????

( im indeed crap with mechanics )

Wouldn't even think of getting the omp, the s3 brace is around £50 New from tps.
