yes, but in real world usage is the heat soak that noticable? ie on a static roller of course it will get too hot - no proper flow of air through the radiators

Definately. I did some testing using my Liquid Gauge on another member's VRS (BerylsChiefPilot) on the A2070 on Romney Marsh a couple of years back after he'd had an ECU-Evolutions remap and was still running the standard SMIC.

It was late winter with an ambient air temp just above freezing. We did three runs back-to-back and it went from 213bhp on the first run at 20 degrees IAT down to 193bhp on the third run at 40 degrees IAT. By the third run the car was noticeably sluggish, it was like driving my standard one.

OK so in real life you're not going to worry about that power loss too much but it's possible if you did three hard overtakes in a row by the third one your remapped VRS is running like a standard one so there's much less margin for error on an overtake.

Normal driving I don't notice unless its above 25 deg then it really is noticeable.

i noticed today showing my boy the car a lack of performance as we had been sat in traffic for ages. I need to get that FMIC on! Run out of funds for the map sensor pipe tho :(
