Thanks. Ordered mine. There's a £2.80 postage charge (2nd class) payable in addition to the cover price when ordered through Haynes.

Thanks, just ordered mine

If you can wait a few days Amazon say they will have it available on 15th March for £17.15 with free postage http://www.amazon.co...31213524&sr=1-2

Edit: There's also a couple on ebay now for less than £15 inc p&p

Interesting - does that imply that the vRS *is* covered? I have one on order from Amazon anyway, since all the other info will be useful...

Not that it affects me but how come no petrol? Surely they're quite common accross the VAG range?

Is their one for the CR 170 VRS

Is their one for the CR 170 VRS

It covers both the 2.0 PD and 2.0 CR engines so I can't see why that would exclude the vRS TDi

Bought one from the ebay seller. Maybe it'll come in useful if I'm without a laptop. Cheers for the heads up.

Haynes said there were more diesels sold, so that's the model they primarily worked on

Perhaps all of us petrol owners ought to get together and email Haynes 'en-masse'! Have tried loading ElsaWin onto 3 computers running XP to Windows 7 without success! :( Tried everything! Gave up! :@

mikeholroy,

Some versions of 64 bit win 7 does not allow use of virtual xp. As stated previously have tried 3 computers, various configurations, administrator, safe mode, etc. Not wasting anymore time. Give me a 'paper' manual any time!!

If you're not running Win 7 Pro - Ultimate, you could use another hyper-visor like Virtual Box.

Have recently emailed Haynes enquiring as to whether they have any timescale for the production of a manual to cover petrol versions and received the following reply:-

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding a Service and Repair Manual for your vehicle. Unfortunately, we do not produce a Manual for this particular model and have no plans to do so within the next 12-18 months.

However, all of our customer requests are recorded and used in the decision making process of future Manual publications/updates.

You could try contacting your local dealer to see if he can be of assistance or looking on the internet at any owners forums.

I am sorry for any inconvenience.

As I stated previously, perhaps us petrol owners ought to email them 'en-masse' and perhaps they might reconsider.
