Water poured into footwell in car wash - why!?

Featured Replies

Morning guys,

Had a look on here, and have seen people talking about wet carpets, but not to the extent that I had the other day.

Driving out of the car wash I heard what I can only describe as a river, looked down and water was running down my pedal and filling up my footwell!

Anyone have any ideas of what I should be looking for? Blocked drainage under wipers maybe?

Cheers!

Yeah your plenum area is probably blocked with leaves.

Take the arms and trims off and clean it all out.

hit nail on head, unclog scuttle drains and it should be fine, the drains are under wiper panel covers

It's part of a main dealer inspection service to check them for this reason.

Common problem on alot of cars these days, they design them to drain water but forget its not only rain that gets into them
