New Skoda owner from the midlands

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just saying a hello, from a new Skoda Octavia owner.

Must admit, I am really impressed with my car, and most responses from people say "I have heard they are good".

My response is "I hear the VW's are Skoda's with a VW badge put on"...

I have brought a 1.6 TDCi CR SE Octavia Estate, year old, with 6k on the clock.

What I really like:

Touch screen radio, with SD slot. Smooth drive. MPG!. TAX!. Room(for the kids).

One question you might be able to help me on:

I do a fair bit of travel, and the Skoda dealer said that I could pay a bit of money to have a bluetooth handsfree phone system installed.

Anyone have any experience on this?

Is it worth the money?

Does playing media through the BT sound good (I have an iPhone)?

Thanks

D.

Hello D and welcome along, Bluetooth is the one thing I didn't spec, along with sunroof and leather, but I wish I had. I've no experience of it but am pretty sure it'd be good - I'd only be interested in it for the hands free phone use it'd provide.

Just found out the dealer quoted me the price for the "parrot" system (£180) not the full system which is £250-300!

Need to save up a bit more cash!

Welcome to the forum.

Get yourself along to the Midlands meet on April 14th to meet some fellow skoda owners

The oriiginal equipment bluetooth is worth every penny. Effortless use of the phone and can play MP3's through the bluetooth as well.
