Serves me right!

It had to happen I suppose...

Silly me.....not buying a car from the "Stealers"

Not caving in to their showroom charm, free coffee with the little biscuit and the offer of a "Full 12 month Skoda warranty"....

How dare I save over 2 grand and plump for an "unfashionable" and unsellable petrol 1.8 Tsi

After a month and 1000 trouble free miles.... with an average of 40mpg, surely it was too good to be true!

So imagine how I felt when my first warning light came on last night.... glowing like an amber demon.

My heart sank this morning at the local motorfactors I was given the bad news...

"Rear lamp bulb....that will be 50p mate"

Damn you Skoda ( Shakes fists at the sky)

Gutted. :giggle:

50p? you got ripped :p

You need to Feng Shui the car as soon as possible - it may be out of harmony.

Ouch - are you sure your Chakra's are intact after that?

PS: for what it's worth - the coffee is carp anyway!

I did the same with my vRS and I feel smug as hell too! Only warning light I've had is tyre pressure warning (forgot to reset it) and check oil level, which I did and it was correct, more oil needed!

We're soooo money supermarket we don't even know it! :giggle:

I feel bad every time I hear that. Sir Picard should never have to stoop so low.

If it was the brake/tail or brake/fog then make sure it is a 21W/4W not the much more common 21W/5W otherwise it'll cost you another 50p! :giggle:

Oh please! Was this really worth opening a tread :(

DEFINITELY, there is too much s..t in this world so a little light hearted banter is always welcome,

keep it coming.

PHEW. You had me going there reading the start of your post as I'm thinking about buying one of these ; ) ........thought something had gone seriously wrong with it

I bought my car cheaper at the time from a dealer with a warranty (that was needed a lot) than a private sale.

I wouldn't feel so smug just yet if my experience is anything to go by. Hope it doesn't go wrong though:)
