windscreen ticket clip

Featured Replies

Anybody have any idea where i can get a new ticket clip for my windscreen please as just

picked the ole girl up from service & apparently Skoda no longer supply these, the only way

you can get one of now is with a new car!!

Also need someone in the Suffolk area with vcds please to activate my coming home lights,

2nd rear fog & cornering lights please

If you're having trouble getting a dealer one, just get an aftermarket version and fit it in the same place. Clip the pillar trim off and place the adhesive section behind that. You'll never know the difference that way.

That's what I did with mine, as the previous owner had managed to snap it....

If they're not supplying them anymore then get a tax disc holder from your dealer & use that.

Or alternatively get some self adhesive business card pockets & stick one on your windscreen, I use one for my parking permit so I don't get a wheel clamp & fine.

You can usually find them in Staples or Office World for about £5-8 for 10, but they're perfect for this sort of thing as the ticket wont fly off the dash when you close the door.

erm, scrap yard??

erm, scrap yard??

Or courtesy car...

Or courtesy car...

Or test drive

IMO they're talking *******s, they fitting them to new cars so they will be available as a spare.

Excellent. Must get one for the Clio. So handy these things.

Adhesive one in my eBay link above will do the trick John

Cheers

I've got an adhesive one spare similar to the one in Wardy's link if anyone needs one, for the price of the postage.

Three quid for an original? Theft, I got one from Skoda last year for about 79p. I'll dig out the part number if you want me to, I still have the packaging since I bought two (intending to fit one to the passenger side as well, and never doing so).

If you do change your, check whether you have airbags in the front pillars - if you do, the trim removal is different (there's a torx headed screw under the AIRBAG badge which needs to be undone versus simply crowbarring the trim off). Easy job though.

Don't forget to advise your insurer if you install an uprated clip . . .
