Auto-headlights speed sensing?

Featured Replies

When I put my foot down a bit (well, more than a bit) my headlights come on for the rest of my journey.

Has anyone else had this?

If I am sensible it never happens.

I've not had that happen to my Yeti, is it when you are running on DRL's or sidelights?

It's in broad daylight when I am running on DRL only.

I never use sidelights, if visibility is bad I use headlights.

Seem to remember my Octavia having this but I've not driven the yeti that hard to find out.

On Autolights the headlights will come on @ c.86 mph or thereabouts IIRC?

I think it's in the manual?

You can go that fast with the aerodynamics of a yeti???? :-)

Top speed of the 170CR is 125. :)

That's about right; exceed preset speed (135 kph IIRC) for more than 2 mins headlights come on.

They will go off if speed drops to normal level for, I think, more than 5 mins.

I think I'll close this before I get myself into trouble...
