Went for a roll down a hill...

Featured Replies

Went for a little tumble during a trail event. My dad was the driver, I was a passenger and my mate recorded it...

Did a complete roll and landed upright again.. My iPhone went flying out window though.. the only time I actually leave it on the dashboard! :o

ouch, long as your ok mate !!!!

Blimey, no repetition in the Felly mate! Good to hear all ok.

Glad your ok, looks like a nicely spec'd Vitara.

Where was the event?

I think I'd cry if it was the felly!

I'm all good, held onto the roof to stop my arms going anywhere... Only thing that had anything was my elbow, which I'm guessing is from the window.

I think the homemade roof rack took all the impact and stopped the roof collapsing on us!

Chassis all good but the body is a total gonner lo. Bent out of place everywhere!

It was for core (Club Off Road Europe) and it was just outside a village in Elham, Kent.

It's not all that difficult to roll a 4x4 in situations like that. I've seen many machines like yours get ruined in similar ways.

I'm not really into off road stuff myself but I few of my mates are really into it.. Got to change over the steel winch cables on a friends landy for plasma rope, I think his club have outlawed the use of steel rope due to some accident somewhere at another club where a fella died.

Is indeed!

From the category events - forum trials... Posts on the March event...

Do you not need roll cages for these events. My mate does it in a landrover defender and has a full cage!

Glad your all ok thou and hope there wasn't too much damage.

A roll cage isn't required but there are some that have external and internal cages.

The only damage really was to the body... The chassis is all good. Bent out of shape everywhere and really not salvageable.
