The driver door consul is not working; it will not lock/unlock the doors or operate the windows

The windows operate as normal from all the other switches throughout the car, interior lights works (but don’t operate when the driver’s door opens either)

Nor do the wing mirror adjustment they operate but not correctly.

Does anyone have any ideas what can be done/checked or a fix to the problem

Check if there's a 12v live feed to the console (you might have to take the door card off to fully check the wiring)

Have you recently bought the car and if so has it always been like that - as it could be the previous owner has just unplugged the multiplug from the back of the console and it needs plugging in again.

door card sorry for been thick is that the same as the door consul?

The console is the piece of plastic with the various switches and controls on it (4 electric window switches, lock/unlock, etc), while the door card is the whole trim on the inside of the door, which the console clips into.

Further to the problems above i have noticed that when i insert the key into the door lock and turn it will lock or unlock the drivers door only, also it will not (when turned) open or close the windows/sunroof

could it be fuses or a relay

if a fuse can you advise which one as i have check them and seem ok.

Once the door cards off check the wiring that goes through the rubber grommit into the car from the door, it sounds like theres no connection between all the drivers door wiring and the central convenience unit in the dash, otherwise when you hold the key in the locked or unlocked position it would send a signal to the CCU which would open/close the other windows and sunroof. Same thing with you not being able to control any of the other windows from the console.

I have checked the wirining an all seems to be ok

Is there a relay or another fuse which might have blown

The console light up so there is power going to it, it just the windows do not open from the drivers door console
