My old MK1 vRS wasn't bad - 157 bhp stock 255 lb/ft

Agreed - costs far too much regardless of fuel type. V-Power petrol is just as expensive as normal diesel near me.

No kidding about fuel cost, that was my reason for going down the Fabia Monte Carlo road, cheap insurance , £20 year tax and combined 67Mpg , Love the look of it mostly,

Might be worth contacting AMD, not heard of anyone cracking the 1.6 ecu recently

Not seen any info on the hardware manufactures sites.

Its been on there sight for a while someone contacted them before and they didnt think thwy would have it cracked until the summer, however pendle performance commented on a previuse thread and they reckon they are very close to cracking it....... If im minding correctly

pendle performance are rolling it out next month, so could be right, there all getting there!

if i had a 1.6cr i would get Pendle to remap it,i am happy with my 1.9PD remapped by them.I can now consider getting a 1.6cr fabia estate when i next upgrade car if i am not allowed a Superb 2.0cr

The 1.6 TDI ECU hasn't been cracked yet by AMD, I think they said that they were looking at the middle of this year before it would be available. No Idea why they list the map as being available now though TBH, its a bit misleading!

It does seem crazy to list it and even more pointless to quote figures,how can you quote figures for a car that's not yet been successfully remapped?
