  • Just incase anyone else can't quite understand, I'll spell it out. I'm teasing Emma, she knows I am, most people will realise this. I love the look of the car, it works very well

  • Right im going to go for the splitter from the Studie RS+ Octy, anyone know where i can get one other then Superskoda website?

I would be up for a group buy, obviously more the better, i cannot justify £200 for one!

Buy an LCR Splitter cant go wrong for £30-40 odd...

Mine just after i fitted it last year, car dirty :o

I thought about the LCR splitter but I would have to cut it in the middle to extend it as imho it isn't wide enough for the Octy bumper.

Thats nice but i want something with more body to it, atm the front bumper looks too rounded

LCR looks totally **** on the octy front bumper personally I wouldn't bother.

have you seen the photoshop I did of a wider LCR splitter, it looked a lot better imho?

Get the proper RS+ one, it'll look great!!!

I dont think the LCR splitty will do it any favours since it's no good on a rounded bumper. at least the RS+ will look factory fit and look the dogs danglies :)

Looks goot thought, I'd hate to be the one to clean them tho my spiders are hard enough haha ;)

How low did you go?

Leon

Yep cleaning is somewhat the massive downside, iv only had them on just under a week and cleaned them 3 times already!

Its not actually finished yet, still going lower me thinks so ill give you total when i know what it is :)

You could just leave them, they wil be anthracite in no time. :giggle:

The car has developed a knocking and we suspect the rear anti roll bar as the bushes were pretty shot

unless anyone one else has any idea where to look? Its not ?the coilovers that have just just been fitted as this bang is not in time with the suspension i.e speed bump and its not just one side that does it.

But anyways the alloys are coming off for a proper clean and seal :)

Lowered suspension puts more stress on other suspension components, so if there's anything else that's marginal, the coilovers will have tipped them over the edge.

done the full check of the whole car and everything is tight as as it should be, the banging is coming from somewhere else in the car..can wait for another day :)

It's strange ur using a vrs as a taxi and a taxi with coilovers is even more strange :) any pics with the sign on the roof?

Anyway about the splitter id go for the rs+ one it's really nice and oem looking.

Did you notice the noise before or after you picked up the young randy couple on Saturday night!

Right im normally rather good at picking up on sarcasm but are you been serious? ha

I would happily go for the RS+ one but not paying £200!

Yeah i noticed, just making sure he doesnt actually think i use it as a taxi :D

Saying that silver there is 1 or 2 race blue vRS taxi's in redcar/middlesbrough!

I saw a white facelift vRS taxi in Byker last week with it's bling-bling LED DRL's and not so bling yellow and black taxi sign on the roof :giggle:

Saying that I also saw an unmarked pre-FL race blue vRS police car on the A19 near Middlesbrough who had just pulled someone over!

suspension = nice stop posting pics of lowered VRS's all its unfair mine looks like a friggin monster truck now :(

Hi Ema...saw in another thread that you have lowered by 50mm...was this before the recent mods? I have lowered by 20mm on stock and I don't think I could live with more than this.

Hi there just slammed mine on APs and had to replace all drop links. Was sound before, but once lowered it was knocking it'd tits off. Now cured, roll bar bushes have started to knock. Now could be a good time to replace both roll bars just to make sure you've covered all areas. Oh did you replace all top mounts when you did it?

Recent mods? Mine is fine over all the speed bumps round here, the scraps slightly on my drive but nothing major :)
