So, back from the seaside and then this happened...

Tiny, small and nasty OE Fabia vRS rear discs and next to it something a bit better..

Et Voila!!

Coupled with a Stud and Nut conversion as well

Much Better.

That front discs have been cast like that or drilled after the manufacturing process? They do look good though !

The "rear" rotors are cast as a solid disc then machined to allow the alloy bell to fit and then machined for the grooves and the holes

I don't know why I've typed front..my bad though. If drilled, aren't prone to crack around that holes ? Don't get me wrong, I'm looking to replace my pads& discs and there are a looooot of options out there, including drilled ones and the obvious pro's and con's.

It depends on the use they get, the front Rotors on mine are grooved only as they take the most punishment, in comparison the rears do a much smaller proportion of the work.

For road use, neither grooves or drilled holes are required, normal good quality plain discs and normal pads are sufficient

Done a couple of small changes to the Fabia including blue LED footwell lights wired into the interior light and a sewn on steering wheel cover.  Have to say I'm loving driving this car. I do plan to lower it before long but if anyone has any other modifications they could recommend to me I'd be glad to hear them!

Just a small update from me. Gave the fabia its first polish since it left the dealer 12 years ago!

Shines up not too bad if I do say so myself. Used poorboys world polish, great stuff!
