Remap in East Yorkshire or close to.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking at getting my Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDI 2005 custom re-mapped. I wondered if anybody could give me abit of advice as to where is best to go regarding price and the quality of the job.

Thanks in advance.

Shark Performance in Mansfield, that's all you need to know.

Shark - Simple as :)

Yet another vote for Shark Performance; their service and approach is excellent, you will get a quality map suited to your requirements.

Cost wise, you'd have to speak to them, but I'd have no hesitations going there for a map whatsoever.

Kk thanks.

Whats the difference between Jabba remap and Shark then? as Jabba are quoting me 140bhp where as Shark is around the 130 mark?

Thanks.

When I spoke to Shark they quoted less power, but when I asked why they said it was for smoke reasons. They could up the power though but would produce more smoke

Ah k, well smoke wouldnt bother me, just the people behind me....haha :D

Ignore the headline power figure, it's simply the figure that one car allegedly made with one map on one dyno with no reference made to the temps etc. What you're looking for is a torque curve that's smooth and feeds the power in, not one that'll have a huge clutch killing torque spike. You'll get the former at Shark, for the latter you have to look elsewhere and that's why you're being directed to Shark Performance.

Ok, thanks for your advice people!

To point out, Jabba have been in the game alot longer than alot of "new" "tuning" "companies" with this in mind, I am pretty sure their local dealer (South Yorkshire's Spitfire Performance) would be able to do the mapping.

Not sure on the price between the two.

But, i'd go to Jabba myself...

Do you know when Spitfire are getting their rollers mate?

Not a dicky bird. Dont think its up at the top of their list as there are several sets of rollers within a few miles IIRC.

All I know is, I went to view the car, and err epic is the word.
