  • for everyone tapping into this and that for power, why dont you all just wire it from under the steering wheel. Theres a row of 5 nuts in a block that splits the cars power to CCU and relays ect.

  • I got one of these, didn't fit straight away had to file some of it to make it fit.

  • here you go. PS not my car anymore!

Have been having a quick look around and not sure really if the 1/8NPT and M10x1 thread is the same or not??? Might want to check with someone else first.

Ok mate, being you get an adaptor id so not, or it might be the ol' whitworth thread so too coarse

For the sake of £6 i think its worth being here ready

I put the oil temp sensor in the oil pump flange. There is a blanking plug which can be removed and replaced with a VDO sensor. The plug is item no 10 below.

Haven't done the oil pressure sensor yet but was thinking about removing the standard sensor (item no 16 above) and replacing with a dual pole VDO sensor. Not sure if that would work though.

So would oil pressure 16 use this

And oil temp adaptor for gauge go 10 be this

Ooooo getting brave thinking about DIY

If you're getting Glowshift gauges mate you might as well use their sandwich plate too!

Put that inbetween the cooler and the oil filter and basically all your problems are gone. My mate has the exact one fitted with oil pressure and oil temp gauges on his Mk4 Golf and they work great. Made for each other so all the hoses, attachments and senders fit etc.

I've just bought one to sort out all my gauges too.

So do you conect the oil temp and oil pressure to that thing ??

And is it unscrew oil filter ?? Screw that on, screw filter back on ??

Then put the gauge fixings on that ???

Ooo and has anyone got pics where boost gauge is connected ?

Love that double din where u get it from

Cheers, its a pioneer AVH-3300bt a retired unit now so quite hard to come by, but still a fantastic bit of kit.

Ooo and has anyone got pics where boost gauge is connected ?

You have to cut the Fuel pressure regulator and put a T junction in. Its located just off the fuel rail.

Yeah but that means the guage will be illuminated all the time??

I want it when the lights are on? Oem stylee??

Because my gauge is tinted it needs to be on all the time otherwise you don't see anything hence why mine if hidden, but with mine I installed a push to make switch at the top so as the lip goes up it pushes the switch down and turns the gauge on.

Yeah exactly that. If you buy them all new they come with all wirings, fixings and senders etc. Theres 3 ports so you can run 3 oil related sensors off it. Having seen it work it does it well!

This is my gauge . Brought a pod of ebay and cut it to the shape i wanted and angle and tiger sealed it on .

My Gauges Bud :bandit: two individual pods moulded
