Feels very slow though compared to the 2.0 TDi pd in my Scout. Oh and the breaks feel weak compared to mine too, seems that once you've got it going it then don't wanta stop.

Hopefully we some good racing, heading off quite early to catch as much as possible.

Huge variety of cars ie Audi A4 and Mk 5 Golf, shame no SEAT, particularly Tom Boardman who probably wish he was at Donny rather than Marakesh where he is well off the space in the relatively slow 2 litre Leon TDI up against the far quicker 1.6 litre turbo-petrols.

Got to be impressed by the 888 MG driven by Jason Plato who picked up pole in only its second run out.

Have to say be interesting to see if the front has a mixed bag,,, was it mg, bmw, focus and civic

Was a good day today, if a little chilly later on this afternoon. Saw some good racing (and a few spins) also noticed a TDi 4x4 Octy parked in scrutineering this afternoon (pics to follow when I get home).

Melbourne has a few good pubs as well ;-)

Listen to the F1 on the way up and WTCC at Marakesh set to record and hoping Tarquini etc can do well against the Daewoo, sorry Chevrolet Cruze.

Race day was great, I watched races 1 and 3 from between Redgate and Hollywood (Good place to watch as you can see the first corner, bottom half of the start finish straight, and then right down through the Craner curves, the old hairpin and up through Schwantze Curve to McLeans) and race 2 at the Fogarty Esses (Chicane) so saw some very exciting racining.

The support races were also good (Clio's especially)

A great days entertainment for just £25.

I am now planning to attend Oulton Park for the BTCC with the kids (They get in for free = bargain)

Having seen Onslow-Cole's "Smokey Turbo" why can't they make road cars turbos this robust, it poured blue smoke out all day but lasted all three races, amazing.

I will drop some vids/pics in once I have uploaded them
