Driving home from gym this morning I noticed a distinct different noise coming from the engine, directly linked to the revs of the engine, regardless of being on tickover or under power. Car drives and feels normal so not sure what it might be. Anyone had a slight ticking noise from the fabia 1 vRS and found out what it was?

Just went out for a drive and no ticking, car fine. All I noticed when looking under bonnet (apart from plenty of oil) was the offside Xenon wiring was a little close to the auxilliary belt.... I've cable tied it out the way but there was some rubbing through of the outer shroud, not through to the inner wires. I'm not convinced that would have made a ticking noise though.

Sticky cam follower?

When was it last serviced? A change of oil might help. Did with mine.
