Colour Coding Roof Bars

Featured Replies

Hey guys and girls

I have a fabia mk2 spec 3 1.4 in yellow. :) smart, anyway, im going to colour code my roof bars from silver to yellow. Has anybody done this before and if so how? If anybody would like to see photos afterwards just post below and ill upload when there done

Yes please would like to see photos, just ordered a SE estate in red and was told could not have it without roof bars .will be interested to see what they look like colour coded

Well the vRS Estate has them in gloss black so I guess you take the covers off and paint them. No idea how to take them off mind you!

the roof bars i refer to are thule roof bars for a hatchback (aero bars in silver) not the standard roof rails

  • Whilst I would say its feasible and any good paint shop should be able to paint them, I would wonder why? If you use them, they will most likely get scratched, if you dont use them, why would you fit them and ruin your aerodynamics, costing you more in fuel? If you wanted to sell them on, they would have a seriously limited market and even on selling the car, would the new owner want them? (Maybe if they were chucked in to the deal, for free)! Basicly then, WHY? Surely the car is gonna look much nicer without the bars, anyway!
