Is it possible for my non maxidot to display total mileage while driving ?

Currently it only shows trip and speed in Kmh while moving, only while stationary, does it show trip and total mileage.

Tap the trip reset button once to toggle from trip to total mileage. HTH

Yes, just poke the button in the dash for a fraction of a second (not press and hold) and it will pop you between total miles and trip odometer.

Did this work for you? I tried with mine this morning and all it would do was nothing (short press) or reset trip (longer press)

Haven't yet tried it, but I thought I had before it was mentioned.

I assumed I hadn't pressed it properly after reading the replies (as I didnt want to reset the trip) !

Presumably with engine switched on? I've tried very short/short/longer presses, up to the point where the trip resets and it still won't change! Arrghh...

The difference here appears to be pre and post facelift Octavia's.

Those that can do it are pre-FL and those that can't appear to be post FL.

The standard (non-Maxidot) display is different on pre and post FL cars so this may explain why some can and others can't.
