Superchips Bluefin Unit - wide VAG compatibility -

Featured Replies

Ok, this is compatible with lots of VAG cars (I had it on my 2008 170Bhp CR Octavia Diesel)

My unit is the BF06-VAG-T one so have found this compatibility list on internet (this is just a guide - I would prefer to double check with Superchips prior to any sale to ensure it will work with your make / model / year of car)

http://www.autops.co...pplications.pdf

These are £455 direct from Superchips, and a minimum of £455 on ebay too (via. Demon Tweeks) - The unit works with a wide range of VW's, Audi's, Skoda's etc

This unit will be reset to work on your car (i've not had it done yet just in case no-one wants it) and there will be no additional charges to you for this.

Once I have assurance from Superchips it will work on your car, a £25 deposit is all i'll need from you (and a little bit of patience as I have no idea how long it will take to shift it to your car) whilst the unit is configured / reset for your car, with the full price being required before I despatch the unit to you.

I think that all sounds fair enough?

Total price to you will be £300 + courier delivery charge (or happy for collection / meet up - North Staffs / South Cheshire)

Any queries, just ask away...

where am I going wrong here guys? :)

prob because its cheaper to get a decent remap instead ??? maybe

I get where you're coming from - I guess this is more ideal for someone who likes the ability to remove the map when they want to, and replace it without having to take the car somewhere to have it done :)

(that's why I bought it) :D

Gone to eBay... Will be reset for winning bidder...

Whats the deal with this is is just plug and play ? also when you say reset is that it ready to work on another car ? if you want you can pm me the details or

email me [email protected]

Hiya mate,

Spot on - it should be plug and play (connects and copies the map over). You then unplug the unit from the car.

Only need to plug it back in when you want to temporarily or permanently remove the map.

Double check with bluefin if it will work with your exact car. I believe there are problems with certain makes and models of cars from the past couple of years due to something called 'tuning protection' being introduced to ECU's. Might be worth a Google if you're not familiar with that term. Hope that helps :)

Prefer this to go to someone on here. Price now reduced from 375 to just 300 + delivery (bank transfer)...

*bump* quite a few people watching this on ebay now, but still prefer to sell here :)

has it been used before ? its just as expensive to get them reset to another iirc?

not quite.... I had it on my 2008 170Bhp CR Octavia Diesel (so it has been used) however the unit has been reset (costs £167+VAT), which allows it to be 'set' against another vehicle. Each time you want to move it to a new vehicle (ie. you trade in your car), as long as you have removed the map from the vehicle first, the cost to move is as per above (subject to Superchips changing their pricing structure!) I believe any changes within the first year are free of charge though (or something like that - it used to be anyways).

The unit brand new from Superchips is around £450 so you're getting a saving of £150

These are £365 brand new now!

I am interested though, just not at £300. What is your lowest price?

ah yeah, got a PM earlier telling me that - thought this thread would just drop and die :D

as prices have lowered elsewhere, this is no longer for sale - no point in selling it for a gain of £50 or whatever (bearing in mind reset cost £200) so i'll save it and shove it on my own car when i'm a bit further into the warranty :)

thanks for the interest though :)
