I’ve been looking around now for some 14" Skoda alloys for my 1.4, as I have steelies. Whenever I see a pair pop up on eBay or other auction sites there sold in seconds for usually a heck of a lot more than say the equivalent VW polo alloys. Anyone got any idea at why these alloys fly from the shelf haha?

i cant answer your question but im a bit sad now ive seen this post coz i want a set thaught they would be cheep but guess not ill just stick to my chunks of steel for now lol

and here i am yrs ago bought wrong alloys for a seat which had been on a skoda im getting one tonight all being well

and.............ive only given the damn alloys away with tyres too

Maybe it's because the 14" rim size means tyres are cheaper?

Ud be surprised.. 205/40 17 tyres are cheaper than 185/60 14 tyres n u can pick up 17 wheels for cheap coz alot of ppl have em on mk4 golfs etc.. can get 205/40 17 nankangs for £35 a tyre or less on camskill.com

sorry to moan but you could have phrased that a bit better,my father committed suicide a couple of years back by doing exzactly that and i dont really want to be reminded about it on a car forum.at the end of the day you pays your money you take the choice,cheap price = cheap product.

Why not buy the polo alloys and swap the centre caps

its all good now, a firend of mine bought some 17" spiders and put them on his 1.4 looks silly but who can complain got a set of 4 genuin alloys for £100
