where can i get tyres fitted?

Featured Replies

Can someone recommend any garages that can fit tyres without causing damage to the bolts or wheels and are able to tighten the bolts to 120nm?

last garage I went to threw the bolts onto the floor and didn't put the wheel on carefully. I need a garage that can treat mycar like a new born.

west midlands/staffordshire area please.

no way for me to check as every garage will tell you the same i.e. we dont' damage, etc.

Many thanks

I've never had a problem with Chemix in Halesowen or eTyres, chap from Walsall but they come to your home/work place.

I take my tyres to the very popular and highly rated Kwik fit cowboy out fit lol!

They can actually do a good job believe it or not due to having good tyre changing equipment and even fill my tyres with nitrogen.

I give them a tenner for each wheel btw.

Can someone explain why this is so heinious?

Because (i) it's unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for the customer and his property and (ii) there's a small chance you might damage the thread/get grit in it.

Depends if they threw or put surely.

I have always been happy with DTE in Kidderminster, although a personal recomendation is always a risky business..........

The bolts were jammed in the wrench so they swang the wrench hard making the bolts hit the floor. (They also put the wrong bolts into..death trap. I needed radius seating and they used taper seating bolts..but that's another story)

I do get what you mean. I need a tyre fitting on my brother's new car but want to go somewhere that doesn't have some monkey who will quite happily damage the alloys and then over torque the bolts for fun.
