Windows mobile phone any good?

Featured Replies

So far today I've made 1 call and sent 8 texts. In the 6hrs it's been off charge I've used 40% of the battery.

I'd heard the Lumia's have battery issues, but thats just pathetic. I really hope the update solves your problem.

OK with the latest upgrades as of last night, the latest situation is........

The battery will last 22hrs on standby, less depending on how much I use it. It's useless as a business phone, and only appropriate for light/casual users if they are prepared to charge it every day.

If I'd bought it and not got it as a free upgrade, I'd be taking it back demanding my money back. It's not of marketable quality and CANNOT be used for its intended purpose.

Have you used another if the most recent generation of smart phones? They all have rubbish battery life in comparison to a simple old Nokia which would last a week without a charge. My mate as a one of the Galaxy S phones and that seem to from full charged to about 60% while sitting in the cinema for 2 hours (not being used!), where as my WP7 seems to only drop one or 2 % in the same time.

Have you check the configuration of the phone? How often if it syncing your email? GPS turned on all the time?

Everything is turned off, even bluetooth. I can't sync with it the battery won't last a full working day. I've just used it for about 30 mins worth of calls and the battery life has dropped 15%. It's a complete waste of time and it's going on eBay, I'm getting something else.

Mine has bluetooth and wifi turned on all the time. Maybe your phone/battery is faulty. Getting rid of it is the best thing you can do.

Can you not return it to where you got it from, and attempt to at least get a replacement? Maybe you have a genuine dodgy battery.

Right I do have an update on this.....I downloaded another update from Nokia which has extended the battery life to about 48hrs. Which I think is acceptable. So it didn't turn out as bad as a thought!

Glad to hear that

48 hrs is double my iPhone!
