Elegance leather seats durability?

Featured Replies

Real ale is the problem!

Gave up beer for Lent (drank lots of wine instead) lost a stone and great reduction in gas emmision (and snoring) and wonderwoman a lot happier.

Back on it now mind you !

Ah, lent, yes. I gave up celibacy and sobriety.

My octavia Mk1 vRS had 'part' leather seats, as I remember the only bits which were actually leather were the black facings, the sides and backs to the front seats were pvc or something, after 6 years of ownership the bits which looked the most worn were the leather ones all the imitation bits were fine. Personally I prefer cloth which is why I bought an SE trim level snowmonster

Its true and its all down to the live yeast in real ales acting on the contents of ones digestive system. :giggle:

Did it make any difference?

Getting back on topic .....

My driver's seat, which is the only one that has really been used, is holding up really well after 16 months, 16,000 miles of 16 stone person. Can't fault it.

I do though like to treat my leather seats to a 6 monthly feed of Gliptone, which keeps them soft, smooth and smelling like new.

Did it make any difference?

Not a lot.

New covers much better - I'd have gone for Alcantara had it been a UK option!

I have Alcantara... I fact it was a freebie I didn't even order!

We have installed some seat protectors in the back to protect against pressure marks from the ISOFIX seats we are using, but the ISOFIX system fitted in the Yeti is very neatly hidden but means the fabric is pulled and stretched a fair bit when the seat is fitted. I suspect this will create a permanent feature when the seats are removed but for now I don't see it and the kids are safe.

Weasley,

I ordered a bronze yeti, and I am hoping that I end up with the same free upgrade you got!!! lol
