+1 especially with Coilovers & Jabba RARB?

  • Made a massive difference to mine, had to re adjust all the dampers as it altered the balance of the car. Once re tweaked though it corners very well indeed.

  • They are one piece as opposed to the forge one which is adjustable. Being one piece they are a little fiddly to get the bolts in.

Who was it that had problems fitting their one as it sat a bit short? I have some else who's bar is about 8-10mm too short. How did you sort yours?

mine seemed a bit short but i didn't take to much notice of it probley also about 8/10 mill from being flush to the body work it sits on

wonder if will brace better siting flusher

i just tried to tighten as tight as i could

i could take a photo and send it you if you like?

I'm currently having trouble with my rear bar. It is about 10 mm too short and thus will not really have any great effect. thinking about making up a shim for each end but will be a lot of work and I may aswel have just made myself the whole bar at the right size for about £15

Use longer bolts and washers! Ten washers and 2 longer bolts will cost about £2

Yeah but the bar needs to be the exact width of the gap. Otherwise there will be play in the bar and it won't stiffen as much as it should

I could use washers I suppose but its hardly ideal

As has been said previously, the strut mounts will be slightly different in all the cars, hence why forge do a adjustable one

This is the gap on mine.

Also found that the provided washers are a bit on the small side and are trying to pull through the holes. I'll find some more suitable washers and make up a spacer for each end and report back.

A bit gutted that it's turned out to be this much of a ballache but hey ho! At least the bar wasn't too long!

Rite o so whats crack with these bars then are they worth geting or have most people got 1 that is to short?

No so far there have been very few issues with length, and yes they are worth getting

I'm toying with the idea of fitting one too

I can only apologies the the people who have ended up with bars that seem to short. They are all made exactly the same length. Not all cars are identical & some require mods to fit them. Once in place they do make a huge difference to the handling - I have 1 left!

But don't take that from me ask everyone who's fitted one. I've even shipped them across Europe!!

Yeah the bars are great and makes a world of difference and the factory doset make all cars to exact same measurements the are tolerances that need to be met but not that exact

Ok - new group buy. I'll do a bunch of them after new year. I've priced the metal and the price would have had to go upto £50 for them, but I've spoken to my supplier who will give me a bigger discount if I order more metal.

So here is the deal :-

5 orders I can do them for £50ea

10 orders I can do them for £45ea

15 orders I can do them for £42ea

Prices inc delivery. So let get the list started. Please don't send any money until we have numbers secured.

Im defo interested in one, but just unsure if they will fit my ibiza fr, i know the chassis is the same but mines only a 3 door, so the seats are different and the boots are different...

Has anyone trial fitted one in an ibiza yet? - 2007 Seat ibiza fr 3 dr.

EDIT: Also, after reading through the thread the only thing that is slightly putting me off is people saying its slightly to short. Is it cheeky for me to ask for one thats a little bigger than usual and then cut it down myself to make it a solid flush fit without adding washers etc..

Thanks.

They definitely fit the FR's mate as the 2 I bought were fitted to them, and made a good difference. Well worth the money

There's no difference inside between an ibiza and fabia.

The mounts are all the same. However, some, like the Vrs, have carpet & others haved boxed in plastic instead if carpet, like the Vrs mk2.

All of them are made to the same length. If you have one made too long and then cut it down, you loose the fixture in the end of the bar that takes the bolts!!??

The reason for a couple not fitting could be one if 2 reasons - no 2 cars are exactly the same & shell flex

So shall we start numbers then guys??

Put me down for 1 for my06 fabia VRS

Regards

I have mine for sale if anybody would like to pm me about it. It's located near rugeley in Staffordshire.

Pm'd
