Yeti trim cleaner

Featured Replies

Just got hold of some CarPro PERL to try out on the notorious Yeti trim!

Cost me £14 including first class delivery. Which when you consider that when diluted it can make unto 2 litres of trim restorer is pretty good value.

So far I'm very impressed. Quickly washed the plastics down today with Surfex HD degreaser and then applied PERL diluted at 1:3 with a dishwashing sponge. Also slapped some on the tires without cleaning them and it still looked pretty good! To do the tyres and all the plastics used about 10-20 ml of product I would guess. Very simple to apply just wipe or spray on and buff off.

It has had good reviews on the detailing sites and I have to agree with them.

I just keep mine covered in mud and grime - much cheaper and easier!

Ditto, but you do realise that we offend the "detailing" mob?

It's a bit like the comments to the use a sponge to wash the car earlier.

however I must admt Simon is does look very nice.

Thanks Graham!

I think I sit somewhere in between 'the detailing mob' and more 'normal' people

I like to have a clean car, but I don't want to spend hours on it - so PERL suits me down to the ground as its very easy and quick to apply. I can pretty much get mine from that 'just drove down a track to go fishing look' to 'showroom' in about 30-40 mins.

Quick degrease with Surfex HD

Foam with AB Magifoam

Have a cup of coffee while it works

Foam with AB Curious Top Shine

Pretty much a zero touch wash and much kinder to the paintwork than carwashes - including hand washes. And living in the West Midlands no hose pipe/pressure washer ban

Actually looking at that list and the gear I have maybe I am one of the detailing mob :giggle:

Cheers

And me...

Looks good, but after trying several products, I have given up. Please let us know how often you have to apply it.

I think it looks good Simon, thanks for the recommendation I might give it a try.
