I have Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres (factory originals) that need replacing. Any thoughts on alternatives as I find the Continentals too noisy (no doubt due in part to the low profile 225/40 X R18). Any thoughts?

I've run close to 9000km on my BFGoodrich gForce Sport. They are definitely grippy and performance oriented, but noisy at high speeds.

Had a set of Michelin PS2s on my 3er ages ago, and those were probably the best set of tires in terms of performance and quietness. NOT too good for wet conditions tho.

I found the Rainsport 2's very good in the dry and exceptional in the wet (ultimately the best of any tyre ive tried) also but the PS3's are better in the dry, have a slightly more neutral breakaway when you do reach the limit, are quieter at speed and wear slower when compared to the uniroyals from experience.
