Great work, obviously you're quite handy with this kind of stuff. Not seen blue calipers before either.

been looking for black rear seats to match the tt fronts but nothing so far :(

did manage to get hold of a r32 steering wheel so that will be going on in the near future to finish the interior :)

Does the Fabia's airbag fit straight into the R32 wheel?

If so methinks I'll be after one too!! :-)

just been out fitting r32 steering wheel and changed the badges on back and on steering wheel.

steering wheel didnt take long to change left battery disconnected for 10min, then 10min to swap the steering wheels :)

turned wheel so hole at the back was at the bottom

insert screwdriver flick the clip to release one side of the airbag

repeat for the 2nd clip

airbag then free to pull forward so you can pull the firing plug from airbag.

insert m12 (i think that was size) spline socket for steering wheel bolt

pull steering wheel off.

ta da! :)

i changed the metal cage over on the wheels after reading the r32 cage sits a little bit higher than vrs one.

fitted new wheel with new badge and took for a drive to make sure wheel was straight

bingo!

Wow really good thread :) your car now has very unique interior but I think a lot of people will want to do the same haha you might just start a trend! I don't suppose you still have the old vrs steering wheel do you if you want to sell it? Also where did you get the black badges from as I have been looking for a set of those?

just get a flat blade mate then pri them out slightly without damaging your dash board! :D

Looks really good so far. Hope you find some black rear seats soon

Matt, why the TT half leather, do they bolt straight in or are you doing some work to get them to fit, or is it ones someone has already put the work in lol

stripped all seats out today and gave carpet good clean, fitted the tt seats, new double din headunit, wired up the footwell leds to the doors. so they come on together, then rain started, calipers tomorrow hopefully,

pics to follow :)

Was the tt seat a straight fit?

I went for the TT seats because they were suppose to be a easy job. They are not though, angled bolt hold at the front need chopping and welding to be flat and strong enough to use again. Thankfully they were cheap & Unit 18 are great at a bit of on the spot fabrication.
