LCD display damaged

Featured Replies

I've got a standard cd player in my vrs unfortunately the previous owner damaged the LCD display, does anyone know if it's easy to replace it

Probably not - the display itself. The symphony CD tuner comes up on here now and then and of course, eBay. they're not cheap (up to £100), however, and there could be pitfalls with coding if a code is not supplied with it. You'd then have to speak to someone with vagcom/vagcat or similar or your local Skoda dealer.

IMO you're better off buying a new aftermarket h/u.

anyone

LCDs are never easy to replace, unless you really know what you're doing.

If you're having to ask how to do it, I doubt you'll be able to.

Be much easier just to replace the CD player.

Apart from how easy or not it might be, have you sourced a replacement? No point in trying unless you can find one...

halfrauds are doing some good deals on pioneer and sony head units ;)
