I have an annoying creak at the top of the clutch travel (60 reg, 2010 MY).

It's intermittent, and sometimes it isn't there at all, but when it is, it's irritating.

I'd like to lubricate the clutch pedal at its top linkage, but access is limited by the panel over the lower steering column. I've pulled this panel gently, but it doesn't come away easily, and I don't want to force it (the lower edge is riveted; components attached?)

Anyone know how this panel comes off? Clips, presumably.
