my spiders are starting to become coroded after being on the car for 8 yeasr and i am now thinking of giving them a paint what is the best sort of paint to use or would i be better of going the powder coat option

I used halfords anthracite wheel paint! Will post a pic later! Looks sweet

Get them refurbed and powder coated.

Just had my spiders refurbed by Lepsons of Gillingham in diamond sparkle which is sort of OEM+ has a bit more metal flake in the paint. £212 + VAT for four. They look awesome.

I was in motorsave yesterday and they had an alloy that had half been refurbished, they reckon that you could do a set of 4 for £30.

You've got nothing to lose at £30, but sounds too cheap.

Our local place (Spit n Polish in Tonbridge) has always been about £50-60 per wheel and that's considered cheap. That's with a 12 month warranty on the work as well.
