Matter for who or for what?

I'm surprised a franchised Merc dealer would even touch it, Merc put all the smaller Merc dealers out of business years ago when it insisted on a universal dealership model and standard so the idea that they'd do service work on a Skoda, even if it was taken in as p/x is just alien to me. They don't even like working on the brands they hold franchises for in my experience.

merc specialist maybe? but no it doesnt really matter it still has a full service history just not a full skoda service history.

Bought my used Fabia 2 at a Merc dealer, the way I was treated was excellent!

Took it to their other branch which did Skoda for minor warranty work, though.

Simon Light Ltd, Ware, Hertfordshire is a Merc dealer, but also specialises in Skoda repairs.

Simon Light is an independent specialist, he's not a franchise dealer, in days gone by he could have been a franchise dealer up until Merc squeezed all the smaller independents out of the network. Usually where a group hold multiple franchises they will tend to defer work over to the correct franchise or at least the service book's get stamped by the correct franchise stamp.
