ESP Warning Light

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I know ESP Warning lights are a common problem, but my 07 plate TDI VRS OCTY with only 23,000

on the clock seems to have developed this problem over the last week.

I had a flat battery, and was jump started last week...various warning lights illuminated including ESP (all amber) which cleared after a short drive.

My wife said the ESP light has now come on again, and stays on. Have had a quick look courtesy of a neighbours VAG- COM... AND FOUND THE FOLLOWING

ESP FRON

Status : Permanent error

electrical error in power cycle"

PART SERIAL # CTA-00020.06

Does this mean the fault is caused by a dicky battery , or is this the more common indicator associated with the teves MK60 ABS/ESP /ECU FAULT

Thanks in advance...PS ...I HAVE JUST HAD A BIG TOE FUSION SO HAD PINS IN TOE AND CANNOT DRIVE ...OR DO ANYTHING MUCH FOR 6-8 WEEKS SO I FEEL A BIT USELESS At PRESENT....

Thanks in advance folks

Bob
