Recommend a Garage for a cambelt change

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting the cambelt changed on my Octy, unfortunatley I didnt get any paperwork to prove when it was last done so I want to be safe rather than sorry, and its job that seems a bit too big for me to attempt by myself!

Could anyone recommend a reasonable garage around the east midlands? I'm in Loughborough but dont mind travelling for good service/good price

Thanks in advance

James

Unit18 at Milton Keynes are good

I recently had mine changed at F1 autocentres. they promise to beat any like for like quote so if you do find it cheaper just tell them.

Ive also had work done at Bvr Automotive in stoke on trent. Vag specialists and just off the A50 so convienient from east midlands.

Thanks Guys, I've emailed all of them so just waiting on responses now!

Skoda!

Got quoted timing belt / waterpump / tensioners and coolant change £300 all in! Plus you'll get warranty on it, cant get much better than that imo

Greg at Small Engine in Nottingham is highly recommended.  Octavia 1's are his particular specialty!  Greg does a really fantastic job and he will replace waterpump, all tensioners and all bolts (including bottom pulley bolts) and coolant change.  All genuine VAG parts used and all work guaranteed.

Check out his website www.small-engine.co.uk for more info.
