Fabia Vrs MK1 Boot Problem and "Light on" Warning buzzer

Featured Replies

I can up the boot with the key but not with the button on the boot, the switch seems dead it sounds like it unlocks

Also the buzzer does not sound when the lights are on and the door open

Any Ideas?

sounds like a gay yellow fabia to me:P

mines the same with the boot button. i sprayed a bit of wd40 on it and gave it a few open and closes and it seems to have fixed it ( second time its happened in 3 years mind)

hope that helps a little?

driver side window dont work either

right when i first bought my vrs i had a problem with my passenger window going down but not coming back up and had the carrier replaced.

think i paid about £90 for the carrier from the stealers. once fitted the problem went. was told by my local fitter that its a known problem with fabias/mk4 golfs/polos

that was about 2 years or so ago and its never happened again.

unsure if that helps but its from personal experience.

No "lights on" warning buzz when door open

It could be the central locking door mechanism causing the problem with the lights on warning buzzer. Mine's the same and a Skoda garage quoted me about £300 to supply and fit a new one. Reading from this forum, the problem is caused by some the welds in the mechanism's micro switches perishing. When the weather gets better, I'm planning on saving myself £300 by opening it up and taking a look to see if that's the case. If it is, i'll just reweld it back to health again.

I don't know if that helps with your other problems though.

hi dose any one know how to set a central locking kit up to my car the keyfob is f***********cked
