a barely legal low

Is there actually a legal limit on how low you can go (provided no tyre rub etc)? I never thought there was..

Do it! And keep the steelies or get some banded ones. Dont know why but when its lowered that looks good steels, think its the cars colour.

You'll be happy to know the steels are staying :D but I will respray them black as the black of these steels is old and worn :( I'm going for a green and metallic grey scheme :) as per the dust caps

Like he said

Like the colour, VRs should have had it ;)

Golf steelies probably nice than skoda ones :)

Get them banded steel wheels out of the for sale section

Just throwing this out there but i reckon that would look pretty sweet on the "black" mk2 vrs rims as the couler of your car and the "black" arnt far apart :)

Was just thinking of spraying the steels matt black. Thoughts?

Easiest way just make sure you take them off first

I know I got some on the tyre. Sue me :p

Give the tyre a light scrub with a scouring pad should come off pretty easy as wont stick to a dirty tyre that well. Get some tyre gel on there to will look loads better. When you getting some lows now?

Thanks for the tip! The lows will be a "save up" process I'm afraid. My insurance is costing a bomb at the moment. Do you think I could just use springs instead? As it would be a cheaper way of doing it. Bought a strut brace off of here tonight too.

Springs are a decent option depending on how hard you're wanting to drive it... The harder you drive it, the more you would want to be looking at coilover territory.

I saw an offer the other day for some springs actually...

Obviously depending on what model Fabia you've got, they should do the job. And at just under £33 surely can't be bad ;)

They're for a 6N. Completely different to the Fabia :(

If you want to go as low as you first wanted springs will be a waste of money. You may aswell save and do it right so you are 100% happy with it. Get some budget jom and you cant go wrong.
