Hi guys.....thought id pick yours brains on a problem I have and see if anyone can shed some light on it.....had a problem recently that occasionally after driving when I come too a,stop and sat in traffic the engine management light will come on but no effect on performance and car drives like normal......had the code checked and cleared twice and says its something too do with mixture.....any ideas wots causing this and what I can do too put it right.....the cars been mapped and has a cat back exhaust....any HELP would be appreciated the car is a 2001 vrs....

Leaking vac pipe possibly. Have you checked the vac pipes under the engine cover and under the inlet manifold?

If you can find someone with VAG-Com near you then you can do a log of Block 032 to see whether it's likely to be a vac pipe problem or a MAF problem:

If it's doing it idling in traffic I'd say more likely to be a vac pipe.

Thanks for your comment ill check the breather Pipes for leaks or splits I know the crankcase breather looked a bit ropey a few months back... Thanks again for your help
