Popped out for five minutes earlier and I was waiting at a roundabout to off for about 30 secs and the woman behind thought it would be a better idea to watch the traffic than me.

And then BANG she drove into my rear end.:mad::mad:

So f**king annoyed at the mo. :finger:

Only a small bit of damage tho abou 3 inches by 1, wound up none the less. :(

silly cow, did you get her details?

And how badly does your neck hurt?

Insurance job :)

Sorry to hear about that. Lucky you didn't get shunted out onto the traffic ie car in gear, bump.

Dozy woman. Hope you got her details! :thumbdwn:

Ouch  Sorry to hear that, You're ok though ?

Maybe we could have an Accident book on this site with brief detials like Name / Model / Brief desc ( rear ended , flipped/rolled etc ). We could then see what the most common accidents are. ??

Well that is number 2 in six months I rolled my Ibiza Cupra in October that is why I am onto the Fabia.

I got all her details but when I called her to ask for her policy number she said that she was going to call the police to investigate as she belived I was a little over the lines and therefore was her right to move off.

I am quite amused at the mo because if she pushes the police she may get done for driving without due care.

Neck seems ok though but my gf had an accident last month and she didn't start hurting until the next day.

She's just trying to scare you off from making a claim.

The police will laugh at her if she tries to make it out that it's your fault.

Just pass everything onto your insurance company and let them sort it out.

I'd also report it to the police yourself and tell them that she drove into the back of you and now she's refusing to give you her insurance details.

isn't it illegal to refuse to give insurance details and worth possibly 3 points?

I am not sure but I cantacted the police and they said that all that needs to be done to comply with the law is exchange details.

I am going to leave the insurance company sort it out I can't be arsed to get worked up over it.

The worst thing about it that it just makes the car feel a second hand.

If she reports the accident to the police then so must you.... if you don't you will be done for not reporting an accident ( you have 24 hours).....just do it anyway.... you should report any accident where other peoples property has been damaged...and at the same time say if she refused to give insurance details.

it's still a pain .....all that paperwork

Report it for sure - she must have done this before if she went off on a 'you were over the line' BS session ;)

The "over the line" stuff is rubbish. If you hit the back of someone, it's always your fault.

:agree: she can make whatever excuses she likes but it's her fault.

Someone drove into the back of me years ago and claimed they were confused by my rear foglights (yes it was foggy). No deal - his insurance had to pay up.

I know it's too late, but do you have a camera phone? If so, next time, take pictures of her with her car and reg number clearly from back displaying make model variant etc, plus do the same to yours, that would've stopped any 'over the line' incident and any 'it wasn't me'. I always used to carry my digicam with my, but now will just use my camera phone.

Like Tesco say, every little helps.

I contacted my Insurance today and they have instructed there legal department to recover all losses.

They believe it to be her fault and are even doing all the rinning around for me.

Good , thats what you pay them for :)

Its better to carry a disposable camera, as digital images would not be admissable in a court as they can be altered.

I can't see what the fuss with her is about TBH, shes just trying to get away with it and scare you off.

As Dr Z said you pay your insurance for a reason let them have the hassle.

Digital pictures *are* admissible in court. The police use them

Thats even better then :)

get her insurance details, when she reports it they should confirm the accident was her fault as she ran in the back of you, I had a similar issue a few months back someone changed lanes in to my car got out and said it was my fault as soon as he reported it to the insurance company they set him straight and i didnt need to claim on my insurance. If shes still got issues just tell her your willing to go to court as the photo evidence is overwhelming some **** like that, she should soon back down!
