I wondered if you guys had any ideas about this. My fabia sings when it goes around bends left or right it has been doing it for years but it is getting more often nowadays. Its not the wheel bearings they have been done and its passed the mot recently no problems. Any help would be apreciated

As mine wore down to the limit I was sure I had a front wheel bearing on the way out.

4 new tyres fitted and the noise went away.

V groove tyres get louder as they wear down, more so than none v groove if that's what you have fitted?

Tyres can be perfectly legal but if they are close to the limit they can be very noisey.

I believe at some point the EU divs are outlawing v groove tyres because of the noise they produce. If you look at most manufacturers - any new tyres they produce tend not to be v groove!

Your post is very interesting. I'm still trying to pin down what sounds like tyre noise on mine & would be grateful if you could elaborate a little more on v groove & are they easy to visually identify? Thanks.
