Is my VRS lowered or standard?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was under the impression that my VRS was standard in the spring department but 2 people this week have asked if it has been lowered. Can anyone confirm? It does look a little lower than this 'in the flesh' but still to me doesn't look lowered.

I'm sure it's not, but was just looking for a second opinion :)

 Cheers fella

As I say it was just that two people have commented this week on how low it looks, but neither are that familiar with the Octy or VRS, so I guess it's just a compliment for all VRS's. :)

Standard, roughly the same as mine m8

My friend has his polo decked and my vRS is nearly as short as his. but its not lowered and because of how low the roof line is a lot of people think it is lowered until they see the gap.

Mine standard looks similar :)

Agreed it looks standard to me. The vRS is about 15-20mm lower than other model Octavias so maybe people are comparing to non-vRS that they've seen.

i think its standard as well, you know what that means....get out the credit card....:>

Ha ha .... you know me so well! .......

I do like the look and agree that it's probably the comparison with non-VRS Octavias that make the VRS look low(ered).

Thanks for the confirmation guys n gals.

Yep, been there so many times! ...... But nothing will ever be as expensive as my Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo mods project. A £3,500 car that I then spent £6,500 on !!!! .... worth every penny .....

Ah, those were the days. :) ... unfortunately they were also the days before having 3 kids, a fledgling business and a wife that's as mean and authoritarian as the tightest Finance Director!

So the remap's about it this time round. ....... ....for now. :bandit:

well treat yourself to the rear arb, believe me, will help with handling no end, so you can use that extra power.

it will be our secret..dont tell her, she can't see it so won't know!

That looks naff! .... I love an appropriately lowered car but it never ceases to amaze me why people totally ruin there cars by ramming the wheels up into the wheel arches - they look like donuts getting swallowed in Johnny Vegas's mouth ........ just looks daft.

thats y im getting the std vRS setup asap and then getting 40mm springs after the year.

Marko, if that is your car, no offence intended. I took it from your post that it wasn't your car, and was just an extreme (eg. cut springs) example of lowering. But would not have been so blunt if I thought it was your car.

it cool man, i hate it that low anyhoo, after one month of driving it i wanted to hit it with something "blunt"!! lol

I got it like that btw......just lernd about the spring beeing cat 3 week ago.
