Just been watching a geeky discovery channel show, and they were going on about a new device called a keyport. Has anyone on here got one, or seen one? They look awesome! Think of them as the swiss army knife of keys.

I'm seriously considering getting one, but I want to know if it will work with the transponder on the octy. I've done a key lookup on their site, and they say MK4 golf keys work. Are they the same immobiliser system as the octy? I presume they will be. They say they can send a key and blank immo chip, but I would need to get it programmed myself. Is this something I can do with vagcom? I don't have the key SKC number for the car.

Err how does it work the remote central locking?

That's one thing it doesn't do. You'd have to use the old fashioned method of key and lock. It's how I get into SWMBO's car lol.
