2005 Black magic Fabia VRS. 71K miles (Leeds uk)

12 months Tax

next MOT not due until June 2013

Serviced April 2012

SOLD for 3800 !!!!

Not wanting to sound too cliched, but this has been a brilliant well loved car! I have owned it from new. It has only been run tuned with a dragon digi box (set to 14 out of 16 power levels) from 20k miles. The dragon box died at 50k miles and the car has since been run standard (un tuned). I was intending to do a hybrid turbo and fmic upgrade with Jabba hence the move to sachs performance clutch and single mass flywheel. But, alas after seven years I got the itch and bought a 350z.

My garage always comment on what a good car it is and couldn't understand why I would want to sell it. Its had both a service and MOT in the last month and Ive just taxed it for 12 months (until June 2013)

Documentation:

Ok so I have not always had the log book stamped due to my own stupidity (not leaving logbook in car when serviced). But, I do have service receipts and breakdowns of work done. I also have all MOT certificates and many other documents and receipts. I even have the original letter of purchase and Fabia VRS marketing material. The car was serviced solely by Skoda for the first 3 years then by a VAG independent.

Modifications:

Jabba sport ARB

Jabba sport single mass flywheel (will not fail like a dual mass - half the weight - better performance)

Sachs Performance clutch (will take more torque - harder map)

PD 160 intake (original fabia vrs intake included with sale if you want to return to standard)

Green cotton filter (inc cleaning fluid and green oil - I'm including an original paper filter too)

..Perfect start for a strong re-map or hybrid build.

Other extras:

OEM Boot liner (optional extra)

VRS centre caps on alloys

Aero wipers (original standard ones included)

Optional vertical space saving Cup holder (must have option!)

Rear window tint.

Uprated main beam, dip and indicator bulbs in from headlight cluster (to best available at time).

Obligatory briskoda.net stickers on rear passenger windows.

Bodywork all standard and in good condition bar for two small (barely noticeable) carpark door dents. ..so frustrating!!

Tyres: Front pair: Michelin PS3 tyres 4mm+ Rear pair: Pirelli P Zero Nero 5mm+

Bad things..

2 alloys marked - though might try to get these repaired.

MOT (May 2012 just done).. advisory - disks are marked/pitted (now I think that this is in part due to the car being sat un-used for a week (when I picked up my new 350z) and my garage only being 300m down the road - hence no chance for rust to be polished off!? Rear bump stop perished.

PM me if you are interested.

Andy

Looks nice Andy, how are things sounding and feeling having run the engine with a dragon box for a time? Do you hand on heart consider the engine has not been damaged by it? And has it had/does it need cambelt or waterpump now it's at 71k miles?

TIA, Dale.

Thanks Dale,

Hi, the engine runs beautifully. There is no hesitation all sounds and feels as good as it did when I bought it. You will notice that at idle in neutral the single mass flywheel gives an audible chatter - but this is totally normal and I quite like it. I am absolutely confident that the dragon box has not caused any adverse effect on the car/engine.

As for the cambelt - I'm sure I had it done back at 60k ish - but I will need to check the documentation to confirm. I cant do this until I'm back from Devon on Wednesday sadly though.

Andy

Ta for that. I'm away til June 10 as mentioned in msg, if it's still for sale then I'll be in touch, cheers fella.

Just to confirm that the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 60586 miles. I also had a full gearbox rebuild at a cost of £1366 at 61282 miles. July 2009 was when I had the Sachs performance clutch and Jabba single mass flywheel fitted. I have all receipts.

There are some strange characters on Autotrader! ..no sell yet.

I have my Fabia listed on Autotrader for £4450.

I'm moving in two week and would really like to sell before then for obvious reasons.

I would far rather sell to someone on Briskoda as i feel i can trust them a bit more ..so I'm reducing the price on here to £4000!!

Anybody?

P.s I didn't mention that the interior is in fantastic condition inc the drivers seat (no bobbling of fabric).

Thanks

I've had a few enquiries - people have confirmed viewings then not turned up!? Can't understand as its a great price, fantastic condition and perfect for someone who wants a descent economy/performance for little money! Good potential for re-map / modifying on this one too.

Maybe I've been a little too honest in description?

Oh well - not desperate for money - guess just need to wait.

Good luck
