Citigo Colours?

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen the 'Spring Green' colour in the metal -Mrs is concerned that it might be a bit pasty, it does look a little that way in some of the photos I've seen but can't really tell without viewing it with our own eyes -so far all the demonstrators appear to be white or silver, is there a green one anywhere?

Ideally she'd like it to be a nice bold green like the 'Rally Green' VRS, if it is a bit anaemic, we'll be looking at a different colour.

It's not as bright as Rally Green, sadly.

It's not far off Rally Green though. Certainly not as washed-out as it appears in some of the press photos. The car in the brochures is much more accurate representation I think. It appears to have surfaced on here anyway. I'd have liked to see a bit more colour choice on the Citigo - could've done with a nice Anthracite type grey.

I've been told that it's very close to VW's 'Viper Green' as seen on the Scirocco, would any of you agree with that? I have ordered one in spring green anyway and hope that she likes it. Silver looks pretty good as well -I'd like to have seen more colour choice too.

Slightly swaying from the body colour I've just looked at the on line brochure for interior options re Elegance.

Is the Nano beige available to the UK as an option, it says standard, does anyone know?

Mick

According to my brochure beige interior is available on Elegance trim in the UK. It is also available on SE level trim in other countries but not here.

It is in the dark

The interior of the Elegance is in 'Nano' fabric which by default is black but you can specify it in 'Ivory' (beige) but you have to ask for it. The dash trim and door cards are the same colour as the seats.

I think you can specify either. The Elegance I drove had the black interior which I think would wear better.

Well, on our way to deepest Cornwall for our holiday we pitched up at a Skoda dealer as it was only less than a mile off route. So second attempt to view this car, fail again! Just our luck their only demo car was taken to the Cornwall show.

The manager promised us a test drive on Monday when they get the car back.

I popped in to my dealer today -apparently it was official launch day today so they now have one in the showroom in addition to the demonstrator -both are white SE models, so I didn't see anything new. However there were quite literally people queuing up to buy one. I think long waiting times are coming.

Passing through Helston today low and behold we clapped eyes on a Citigo, I liked it it big enough for our needs. The dealer was closed though being late sunday so didn't get a look see inside properly.

have sat in local dealer demo citigo and was surprised at the space inside, i am about 6 foot and had no problem with driving position (not sure about rear legroom whens seats are right back, boot is large compared to wifes ford KA (soon to become a trade in for my fabia greenline)and about 2/3's of a fabia mk1 boot

std equipment on SE up seems good, interior did not look cheap and plastic like some other makes, controls etc are up to normal skoda layout and standard

i think the greenline will be a popular model due to the £0 road tax and quoted mpg and coming well equiped as standard

we wait to see what people get real world MPG once they start arriving

my only concern is the short bonnet, i personally like a bit more to crumple before it gets to me, but having said that it does get a 5 star ncap rating so safety is obviously there, if you watch the video the passenger compartment is not deformed at all, not even a change to the gaps around the doors and only a crack on screen

Bluecar, I am 5'11" and sat comfortably in the front there is good legroom in the back.

Certainly enough for a tall person to sit there without being squashed up.

Far better than a fiat 500! Even a very thin midget would struggle to get his legs between the front and rear seats in one of those!

I'm 6 foot and could comfortably sit behind myself. Its a fantastic achievement of design

I would like to see you actually do it! :)

Did I not mention that I earned extra money as a test subject at the experimental human cloning facility and also have a summer job working as a contortionist in the Chinese National Circus?

I'm 6 ft 5. Not much room behind me, just about enpugh for a little 'un like greenstripe.

Going back to the OP subject of the spring green colour, it's not as vivid as the Rally green you mention, more of a paler colour which we quite liked. We test drove an Elegance in this colour and although we quite liked it, I decided not really for us. On the short list of colours we also liked was candy white and silver leaf, the latter we ended up choosing, although we have never seen one in this colour. Been told though it's the VW Golf colour as on their (VW) website.

Incidently we saw a Scirocco on our travels in viper green which is yet another shade of this colour which looks great, very vibrant. Although my wife would like any shade of that colour I'm afraid it's just not for me, well on a car anyway.

I believe the colour is Brilliant Silver Metallic, it's what ours is:

Yeah we looked at that colour first, but we have ordered one in Silver leaf metallic, which has a beige tint to it.

My Mrs has always wanted a bright metallic green car and it will be her car so that's what I ordered -I'm just paying for most of it :x

Going back to colours, interior this time, I liked the interior fabric option of the SE rather than Elegance offering, a grey contrast on the seat and back centres.

I asked but that's how it comes they said, no option, only Nano ivory or the black. Suppose I could have ordered an SE but then I would have had to select a fair few options to bring it back up to Elegance spec and still no heated seats and split rears.

Mick

It looks ok in the green, for sure you will not lose it in a car park.

As for space..... I've got a Fiat 500 twinair and there is a lot more space in the citigo in every way (though the citigo is slightly bigger outside). I'm not overly big and my elbow sometimes catches on the door in the 500 the citigo no such issues. On the road the 500 is quicker for sure but the twinair does not like pulling out if junctions or over speed bumps in second, the citigo is a little more torque(ie)

The twinair sounds better engine note wise but the citigo is also pleasing on the ear.

Ride is softer in the twinair, but not having a chance to test I would say the citigo gives more feed back and probably handles better.

Fuel no idea on the citigo as it was se spec with no trip but my twinair with only 2000 miles on the clock will get 42+ around town without really trying.

In the Czech Republic you can now order the Citigo with the "Quicksilver" interior on mid and top spec models as a cost option. You get a silver shiny dash and VW-GTI style seat fabric:

Hopefully it will be available here at some stage too.
