We ordered a 5 door Elegance on 19th of may from Hortons.

No build date as yet, but they quessed end of july....

As far as I'm aware they haven't actually started building any 5 doors yet -there are a few 3 doors 'in the system' ie already built and in the UK with no allocated customers, so anyone wanting one could acquire one pretty sharpish.

A Citigo Elegance 60hp 5 door in sunflower yellow / ivory trim.

Haven't really looked at these in any detail but I did see an "Up" the other day which looked very smart indeed.

The Skoda is the only one launching with both 3 and 5 door variants -the Seat Mii and the VW Up! are only available with 3 doors at present -5 doors coming at the end of the year. The Skoda has slightly more conventional styling and doesn't have a shiny body coloured dash like the Seat and VW, which we don't like anyway as it causes reflections and will inevitably get scratched at some point. The Skoda makes up for it though as it's available in bright metallic green!

Make sure that you bring it to a meet when you do get it

what sort of discount did you manage to get?

I'm currently sitting in Palmers Watford waiting for the yeti having a service.

There's a silver citigo outside and I'm going for a drive in it very shortly.

From what I have seen of it in the flesh so far, I think my wallet will be a bit lighter very shortly ??

No discount,but the finance package(monthly repayments) is very good.

Also group 1 insurance,no road tax and very good fuel consumption.

No discount but got it on 7.1% apr PCP and a good trade in for Mrs' 5 year old Micra -there's nothing wrong with the Nissan but she bought it secondhand and got rolled over on the finance -she'd have another 2 years to pay on the Micra -she'll be paying another £30 per month with the Skoda but will have a brand new car with everything that she wants on it, servicing thrown in for three years, much better fuel economy and no road tax and something that should be worth far more in three years time. Skoda have agreed to take the Micra at the price it has been appraised at now -obviously the Citigo will take some time to arrive and in the meantime she would have made more payments on the Micra but it's trade in will have depreciated slightly.

With the old car it's balancing how much is left to pay versus what it's worth - in real terms she has £200 equity in the car -I think that it's liable to go in to negative equity soon as it depreciates, ie the loan outstanding is more than the car is worth.

With regards to discounts you wont get one, but what you will get is it made up somewhere else ie with part ex, what happened to me, they offered me £600 for my little saxo, had a word with the big man and the got £1000 for it )

We were told yesterday that it's built this week...

So we can expect it at the end of July/beginning of August.

Just had an update on the car. It has been built and now waiting to go on the boat -so should have it by the end of the month.

Was in a dealers today - they had 2 Citygo's in, one green and one yellow.

Both looked very clean and functional inside, looked very roomy inside and not cramped at all.

Very nice indeed.

Still haven't seen a green one yet, which dealership was this Coops?

Cheers for that. A bit out of my way and would be 100 mile round trip just to go and see one. It's too late now as it's already been built just hope the little lady likes it when it comes -she wants it really bright and to quote her 'not to look like an old lady's car'

I found several of the colours a bit dull, so went for red as they had one of those in the car park (existing customer's car waiting for collection) and it looks very nice.

So far I've seen White, Red, Yellow and Black in the metal. The black does look really smart but I'm sure that's only for 10 minutes after it's been washed

Will have to go back soon as they are investigating the paint coming off my bumper, so if it's still there will try and grab some pictures for you.
