Yeti 1.2 SE Plus DSG

Featured Replies

Hi I am from Hartlepool

I bought my yeti in March 2012 The car in every way is great apart from the milage I had of Run of 90 miles & checking my milage check was doing 32.7 which is well off the combined average, I must admit that I've only done 300 miles since new & I've been away on holiday for month, I made appointment with dealer to checked over on this problem. Previously had estate Octavo 1.9 diesel which the average milage was 50 mile combined per gallon.

Welcome along, can't specifically answer your query on the 1.2 engine and economy, but I know that my engine was running quite high MPG from new, but has gradually loosened up over 15k miles with MPG increasing as a result.

Hi Harry, welcome to the Yetigang! My 1.2tsi, although manual, has done 5,000 miles now and I'm getting around 39.5 mpg on mainly short runs with a fair number of start stop driving and would hope to break the 40mpg mark on longer trips. Your's does seem a little on the low side although may get better as the miles climb. It also very much depends on driving stile of course and I tend to try and drive as economically as possible.....mostly :)

Hi and welcome aboard.
