As title really, i am looking to get some coilovers for mine, and will want it 4 wheel aligning, i was asking a mate about doing it for me and he said he wasn't sure if it was adjustable. He hasn't had chance to look at the car yet, so i just thought i would check here before buying any.

Jon (TaviaRS) posted the technical data for the rear suspension a while back. I have a hard copy and that states that the rear camber is design-related and cannot be adjusted.

Right, so in the case of lowering the car, the rear wheels will be out of adjustment and will wear unevenly then?? Or am i wrong on that.

Large hammer time I'm afraid, not adjustable...thankfully the RS is already quite low...a drop should not effect the camber too much, mine are to quote the local shop "well out"

That will be my fault then, stay of the kerbs...my tyre wear is cancelled out by the front tyre wear with rotation, which I don't do very well.

Drop on mine didn't put it outside the manufacturers tolerances.

Now i'm really in a quandry :( I am not really bothered about dropping it at all, but i want to improve the damping all round as it wallows too much. Does anyone know how much the KW coilovers drop the rear at full height? Also what is the front axle load on the Vrs? Thanks

KW coilovers as with most coilovers, will drop it low enough to rub with a empty fuel tank.

The nice thing is you can raise it and loose the wallowy feel...Where are you based?

The difference between yours and mine appears to be the front ARB and strut brace. Mine is far from wallowing...it's still got some issues, might be worth a key swap for a few mins?

I'm not 100% that I need coilovers for mine, it might make it to harsh with the ARB and wheel changes, that said Jon's RS always amazed me how it went round corners on his KW v3's.

I'm based near to Hull/Grimsby/Scunthorpe, sort of in the middle. I may go for the front stuts and see how it goes, mine also seems to "hop" a little around some big bumpyish roundabouts, i just want it to sit nicely at speed.. maybe i need an Evo 8

I know on my Scooby, Powerstation/TSL put in some adjustable camber bolts to replace the standard non-adjustable ones. Are these available for the Octy, or is it really not worth the hassle?

I personally found that the more I've done to the car the less compliant it is on roads that are not smooth. I know what your saying though.

I took a wrx out on a test drive and it was good, drove the same route 20 mins later in my 4x4 with coliovers on and the scoobie was miles ahead in terms of handling feel, but asctually I was quicker in the Octy. Okay I knew where the bend was going 2nd time around.

The point is it felt worse but was not that far off.

Thats my car at anglesey without the front or rear ARB. I don't have a pic to hand of it on the same spot with, but if you look at

Which is a little further into the corner so a bit more load it's a lot flatter...which is how mine is now at that point without coilovers, but Leeboy's is on H&K...

I think i will try the front braces first then. Would you recommend the neuspeed ones over the S3 ones?

Thanks for the info, i think maybe coilovers may make things worse then if it upsets the geometry. Maybe i'm just asking/hoping for, too much from it.
