I would hate the foot operated parking brake myself. Electric park brake like on Passatt would do instead though.

They have the gearboxes in the Audi range. No need to be restricted by existing gearbox.

Only the longitudinal Audis (A4 and up) have gearboxes with higher torque capacity. The superb is sharing fitment with the A3 size. I am expecting some revelation here in gearbox with the new Octavia as it shares gearboxes.
