Recent Cambelt Change Price

Featured Replies

People are always asking appropriate costs for a cambelt change, so here's what I paid last week.

Genuine cambelt repair kit £69.75

Genuine waterpump £44.75

Coolant (2 bottles) £16

Labour (at my local independent) £135

Grand total £265.50

Good price, mainly because the cambelt is so cheap! I'm sure the last I got was £100+ :-/ did you buy it or the garage?

I've just picked up cambelt kit water pump oil and filter, having a mot and including fitting 230 all in happy days.

I got it from my local TPS

.....and there was nothing wrong with the old waterpump. No wear at all on the metal impeller and the bearing was still free and smooth with no play. I reckon I could've left it on for another 100k miles.
