Skoda Extended Warranty (Not)

Featured Replies

Skoda assistance isnt that just road side help? I want warranty as well and if 255 is cost of roadside assistnace then 349 for warranty with roadside assistance included is quite a reasonable price?

Warranty:

Cover and costs:

Skoda Assistance:

is full breakdown cover that is cheaper than the RAC (around £170 for 2 years IIRC) and covers more.....ie hire car, hotel, onward travel, EU cover etc:

You also put that the dealer quoted you £349 not £249.

What i meant was £255 for proper Skoda cover for warranty and then take out Skoda Assistance at around £90 a year.

you get it for 3years free on a new car.

Thanks. I java read but I noticed said extended warranty is only available to extended when ordering a new car? I'll have to go see my dealer again and ask what the deal is. Why should a used car which was bought new from the dealer be charged more for warranty?

Wouldn't bother with the dealer - just call Skoda UK. Deal will always want to make a cut out of anything.

I would say as its insurance at the end of the day a brand new off the line car a person paying there and then for an extended warranty has no reason to expect anything specific to fail or go wrong and its a calculated gamble on your part some people will claim a lot on their extended by the time 3 years is over some will claim a little some will claim nothing making pure profit for the company. Also mileages will be different some might have only covered 30K some might hax gone bang on the 60K warranty some might be beyond so more variables.
